Crosby Construction leads Valbruna project

Crosby Construction was selected as the design-builder for a new 82,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at the Valbruna Slater Stainless plant in Fort Wayne. The new facility features multiple overhead cranes, office and personnel space, and concrete foundation systems for manufacturing equipment. In addition, the project includes the renovation of two existing, adjoining buildings that comprise an additional 68,000 square feet.

Through the use of our design-build services, Crosby is fast-tracking the project and will finish in less than one year, from the start of design to the completion of construction.

Founded in 2004, Valbruna Slater Stainless produces stainless steel and nickel alloy bars in a variety of shapes. Those bars are used in a wide range of applications by the automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment industries and by companies involved in chemical processing, power generation, biomedical work, and construction.

The completion of the Crosby Construction-led project will enable Valbruna to expand its operations to better serve the marketplace, and it’s estimated that the project will create up to 45 new jobs by 2017.
